Description
Dec 1, 2008 *** Price reduced!!  $500,000+   being left on the table; let's see who takes advantage of it.*** It’s been 25 good years of a fun business, but now I’m ready to retire.  The only way I could have had it any better is if I was a millionaire car collector.  To come to work everyday because you enjoy it is what it’s all about; walk out of your office everyday to a showroom full of corvettes and muscle cars that looks like your very own collection is just a great feeling.  The only bad part is that sometimes someone comes in and buys one of the ones you would really rather keep for yourself.  That’s the bad part about not being the millionaire car collector.  All things don’t always have to come to an end, but as you get older in age, you see that someone who isn’t working to a close retirement is needed for those types of dreams to continue.  My work, my hobby will just have to be continued by a younger person who wants to make money and grow in size and increase the volume of sales; the way things are going and with the near future growth of Ft. Bliss and the city that can happen.  The growth of our Fort by 30,000 more great soldiers and their families should grow the population in our city by 70 or 80 thousand more people not including the contractors and their families that are catering to the military future systems.  Right now I work 4 ½ days a week with 4 people and a inventory of $600 to 700 thousand in cars and parts.  Double that or triple that inventory and hire a couple of more people on a normal six day week and sales should double or even triple in a year or two.  With current inventories and work days, in a good year gross is about 1 million, on a bad year half a million at least, with my current excellent employees. So if you like your cars, especially the older muscle cars and corvettes, and want to walk in your dream, here is your opportunity.  All inventories for sale; buildings, grounds, 25 years of customer base, and 25 years of vendor good will can be yours for $1.75 million in the year of our Lord 2008. Our sales territory includes Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Mexico.  With the amazing reach of the internet we have sold cars to people all over the United States and in places like Holland and Australia.   Many of those sales are done “sight unseen” simply based on our reputation of honesty, a fair price, and quality.  Our 6,000 sq ft building is located on 1.67 acres on the East Side of town on one of the major and busiest streets in town.  Our building includes showroom, offices, parts room, restrooms, and shop area.  There is also a second level above the offices that is currently used to house more parts or could easily be converted into living quarters, or…. We currently offer sales, parts and service for corvettes and pre-1972 American muscle cars.  We also restore projects that we find in the area.  However, there is a great demand for quality restoration services, speed shop work, and a good paint shop.   The potential for increased profit and growth is exceptional.   We have considered building a second building on the property for storage facilities as that is a service that is often asked of us.  Or that second building could be used to house a paint booth, a larger service area or a speed shop.  We are often asked for referrals to quality speed shops and there just are not any around here.  The closest shop we recommend for superchargers is in Ft. Worth.  Our shop is the only one of its kind between Phoenix and Dallas.  So you can see that we are in a prime location for this business to be hugely successful.  Over 25 years we have established relationships with every corvette vendor and many muscle car vendors in the United States.   Those relationships allow us to buy the best products for the best price.  We also have the best customers.  We don’t do much advertising right now, however, it never seems to be a problem as our customers are the best advertising there is.  They do a great job of spreading the word about our quality merchandise and service.   It would not take much advertising dollars to get the word out about new services that a new owner might like to add.  Word will spread from there.  And with the internet, sales are limitless.  Our current inventory program would not take much more work to be integrated with our website and offer online sales of parts.  I get calls every week from people all over the world looking for that hard to find part.  I just mailed one to a customer in Canada.  So imagine if you had the entire inventory available for browsing on the internet, what would your sales be then?  As for our vehicle inventory; our motto has been “we won’t sell you a car we wouldn’t personally own”.  So we are picky about the quality and authenticity of the cars we sell.  Honesty is very important to us.  If a car is not numbers matching, we’ll tell you.  If it has any history we know of, we’ll tell you, good or bad.  That reputation serves us well in our ability to sell our cars.  It’s a reputation we have worked hard to build and would hope that the future owner would treat it as the valuable asset that it is.     Our climate here is the best for car enthusiasts.  It is warm and very dry, no need to worry about rust issues around here.  It is also a really short winter (if we have one at all) which means more time to enjoy those great cars.  Snow is a rare occurance and so car enthusiasts often enjoy, drive, and work on their cars year round, which translates to steady business all year long. It is also a great climate to live in.  If you get tired of warm sunny weather, the mountain town of Ruidoso with its great ski resort is only a couple of hours away.  Tuscon or San Antonio are only an hours flight away.  You can visit one of the great wonders of the world at White Sands, NM about 2 1/2 hours away.  Or another great spot to visit is Carlsbad Caverns about 3 hours away.  You'll never get bored and when your friends are complaining about digging their car out of the snow you can tell them that it is a very nice 70 degrees. The city's nickname is "the Sun City" for a good reason.  It is a great place to live and work. Check out our website at www.swcorvette.com and you can see lots more pictures of our facility as well as our current vehicle inventory, cars we have sold recently and pictures from our annual car show.  There is not a better job anywhere.  It is great to get up every morning and look forward to going to work!
