Description
PRE 1920'S WONDER 3 CYL OUTBOARD MARINE ENGINE RARE!!! These are all from my father's, (Jack Martells, Author, The Beer Can Collector's Bible and Antique Automotive Collectibles) collections. This is a very unique engine that was one of my Dad's prize possesions as he just loved it. This engine is in very good condition. It has good compression and turns over nicely. The cylinder is nice and you can still see some hone marks. The stroke is 3 inch and the cylinder is 3 1/2 inches id. The three drip oilers are manufactured by Essex Brass Co In Detroit and that is stamped on the top. The three drip oilers are in very good condition except for one which has a cracked glass. The glass in the upper sight is 1 3/4 tall x 2 inches round. The lower sight glass is 1 x 1/18. The overall height of the oiler is 6 inches. The thread is 3/4 and in great shape on all three. The overall dimensions of the engin is 31 x 14 1/2. The metal base is 21 1/2 x 10. The flywheel is in perfect condition and measures 14 1/2 x 1 7/8 thick. The overall weight of the engine is 252 lbs with the wood base. As I have stated in other auctions on the engines I am willing to deliver between Sterling and Port Huron Michigan for free as I am moving there and am going back and forth right now. I do accept postal money orders. Please do not be shy on any question you may have or something you may need me to measure or picture for you. Please feel free to ask any questions as I always post any questions or new facts about my items that I may have missed or did not know. This item and thousands more to come in the next few months are from my Father’s private collections. Jack Martells, my Dad, passed away two years ago. He wrote three books on collecting all of which went to HARD COVER. They included “The Beer Can Collector’s Bible”, “The Cone Top Collector’s Bible” and “Antique Automotive Collectibles”. I and another Ebay user (you will have to ask me the user id as I cannot post the id in my listings.) will be selling literally thousands of items from all of his various collections. Some of which include ALL ANTIQUE hubcaps, spark plugs, farm & automotive wrenches, gas & oil items, automobilia, tin advertising, NASCAR, tin toys, Mcdonald’s toys, STAR WARS, miniature bottles, antique beer cans, military, rock & minerals, coins, stamps, HOT WHEELS, movie memorabilia, Shirley Temple, die cast cars, dolls and much more. Please refer to our feedback and shipping info. We COMBINE SHIPPING ON EVERYTHING. We have found that because of all the variety, many people buy a number of items from different categories. We wait for payment on many things while other items are selling to combine multiple sales. We also offer a 3 day return if we agree we have misrepresented an item in any way. My father’s collections were so carefully put together over the years and you will find the condition of most everything is excellent. My father had good eye for the rareness and uniqueness of various things. You will enjoy seeing some of the items being listed soon. Thanks! Glenn E. Martells On Nov-14-08 at 08:59:31 PST, seller added the following information: *I do accept other forms of payment, I prefer postal money orders than anything else, I do not know how this option did not show up in my listing. With all the changes on Ebay, it just slipped through the cracks. I am very sorry for the mix up. I have always accepted alternate forms of payment. Good Luck To All. Glenn E Martells
