Cushman 2 cycle Engine, Model 2 Type A' Description I know you have heard it before, but in all my years of engine collecting , this is the only one of these that I have ever seen. I am sure that someone out there has one , but you must admit that it is scarce model. A Cushman 1/2 Horse Power Model 2 Type A, Engine Serial # 657. It is rated @ 1/2 H.P. and the R.P.M. Rating is 1200-1800. It is a very small motor , weighing 24 1/2 pounds. The engine has good compression and appears to be complete except for a coil and gas tank. It has a govenor mechanism and points on the flywheel for a make & break ignition system and R.P.M. control. There are no repaired or broken castings or fins . It has a nice brass tag with all of the engine spec's and numbers . I painted the engine years ago ( machinery grey ) and it has been on display in my collection for about 20 years .
